Financial Planning & Investment Management

Planning

One of the biggest mistakes I’ve seen people make, including myself in another life, is failing to plan

Whether you’re sitting on a multi-million dollar portfolio, you’re just starting to make good money but don’t know how to make it work for you efficiently, or you’re already in retirement and want more from your current advisor… you’ve got to be able to look back in 5, 10, 20 years from now and say “Wow, I’m so glad we did this,” instead of, “I wish we had done this years ago.”

  • Reducing debt
  • Getting financially organized
  • Optimizing your budget
  • Estate planning
  • Setting up a plan for your business or your children (or both!)
  • Having your investments managed professionally so you can spend your time on things that bring you joy

All of this and more is "baked into" my process. I believe in comprehensive and holistic wealth management, not just investment management. I’m a guide and a coach, not a Wall Street broker or snake-oil salesman.

We even help DIY investors through a flat-fee option. What this means for you if you're the DIY type, is that you can still benefit from qualified investment advice, including access to our tools, by just paying a one-time fee. Although we will offer investment management for the right type of client, the one time review and second opinion engagements are becoming a very popular option as more individuals are comfortable managing their own accounts.

This is also helpful to HENRYs (High Earners, Not Rich Yet) since many times the majority of their wealth is still tied up in their retirement plan at work. But through a planning & consulting engagement, they can benefit from financial advice through a flat free or retainer.

A planning engagement can cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Investment review
  • Budget review
  • Retirement plan review (to establish that you're on the right track)
  • Retirement Plan construction (to get you ON a track)
  • Roth Conversion plans
  • Debt Review
  • Major Purchase decisions (starting a business, buying a home, 2nd home, etc)

Don't be a stranger, if you need help but either don't have the assets for us to manage, or prefer to DIY, or you're just starting out...grab a time on our calendar (top right of the home page of this website) and let's get you set up for success!

For Those Seeking Investment Management

For anyone seeking to hire out the day-to-day decison making and investment management, we do offer these services to the right type of client. Here's who we generally extend those services to:
  • People that prefer to delegate
  • People that are coachable or willing to learn
  • Account size of $250,000 or more (or able to pay the annual minimum fee)

The fee for this generally starts out at 1% and goes down from there. Of course, there are sometimes internal expenses within your mutual or index funds, but we consider cost and tax efficiency when making our recommendations.

After onboarding a new investment management client, we set up a series of strategy sessions that unfold over a 12 month timeline. It's hard to get everything you need all done at once, but if you're in a hurry due to unforseen circumstances, we do have a Fast Action Plan for an additional fee. This can come in handy for people that are in a bind.

Generally speaking though, a normal onboarding experience means we get your investments transferred over and consolidated first. This can help organize your financial life right off the bat. Then, we get to work evaluating what you currently own and identifying any areas of improvement or ways to save you money on internal fees.

After that, we set up quarterly meetings that can be conducted virtually or over the phone. If you're nearby our office, this would also include an annual in-person review.

The investment management clients can also participate in financial planning as well, often times for no additional fee depending on the size of the account and the scope of planning services being done.

If you'd like a [free] review of your accounts so that you can determine if we would be a good fit to work together, grab a spot on our calendar and let's talk! No pressure, no commitment, no BS!

-Our Mission is to help individuals that seek to achieve financial confidence by using a comprehensive and holistic process for organizing, preserving, protecting, and transferring wealth. Feel free to share any of our resources with anyone you know that might benefit from them.
